Wasl3

Web3 domains for the Arabic-speaking world.

One Language Shouldn’t Rule the Blockchain.

Project Overview

wasl3.com is a Web3 domain registrar I built from the ground up to serve Arabic-speaking communities. I secured culturally and linguistically significant TLDs via Freename — including .سوق (market), .تعليم (education), .رقمي (digital), and .o0o — and then developed the platform as a localized registrar and cultural gateway.

The project ensures that Arabic users can access Web3 domains in their own language, with full script support, opening new possibilities for wallet addresses, personal identity, and digital branding.

Objectives

  • Secure Arabic TLDs as part of cultural and digital heritage.

  • Provide a fully localized registrar for Arabic-speaking users.

  • Position Web3 domains as tools for identity, ownership, and innovation.

  • Support the expansion of Web3 adoption in MENA.

My Role

  • Secured Arabic Web3 TLDs through Freename.

  • Built and deployed the WordPress registrar platform.

  • Created brand identity, messaging, and design assets in Canva.

  • Structured the site to make registration intuitive for local users.

  • Positioned wasl3.com as a culturally rooted alternative to global registrars.

Skills Demonstrated

  • Strategic foresight in cultural digital identity.

  • End-to-end site design and deployment.

  • Cross-cultural branding and localization.

  • Visual communication and promotional storytelling.

Gallery / Visuals

  • Screenshots of wasl3.com homepage and registration interface.

  • Visuals of Arabic TLDs (e.g., .سوق, .تعليم, .رقمي).

  • Promotional material showing use cases: wallet addresses, business branding, identity.

Outcome / Why It Matters

wasl3.com demonstrates how technology, culture, and design can be combined to create inclusive digital platforms. By securing and presenting Arabic TLDs thoughtfully, the project ensures that Arabic speakers have a rightful place in Web3 — not as an afterthought, but as first-class participants in shaping its future.
